Early Years Assistant
Full time – Fixed Term in the first instance

Our continually graded outstanding nursery currently has a vacancy for an inspiring and talented Early Years Assistant, to provide high quality care and learning opportunities for children aged from 3 months to 5 years old. The ability to demonstrate initiative, to be flexible and to work as part of a team are all essential skills required for the role.

This post is 37 hours per week,52 weeks a year with a starting salary of £18,562, (Hampshire County Council B grade) initially fixed term for one year.

The Centre is open from 7.45am – 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. Haven closes for the period between Christmas Day and New Year.
Due to COVID restraints, should you have questions about the centre or position, our head teacher would be happy to have a chat. Interview date is TBC, with a view to start as soon as possible.

Co-Opted School Governor
The Board of Governors at Haven Nursery School are seeking to recruit a Co-opted governor to join the Board.
Being a school governor is a challenging but hugely rewarding role. It will give you the chance to make a real difference to young children, give something back to your local community and use and develop your skills in a board-level environment. Haven strive to provide the most nurturing and positive start in children’s life, to prepare them for school. With a team of fantastic managers and teachers, become a part of a special and unique team who will help ensure we are always doing our best.
We are seeking to recruit a governors to the full governing body, so we have a balance and diversity of knowledge, skills and experience across the board.
As a Haven governor, you would be able to support us in the following ways:
What school/ nursery governors do?
The Board provides strategic leadership and accountability in schools. It has the following key functions;
Governors set the aims and objectives for the school and set the policies and targets for achieving those aims and objectives.
Governors monitor and evaluate the progress the school is making and act as a source of challenge and support to the Headteacher.
