Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP)

Did you know that nurseries, pre-schools and childminders providing 3 and 4 year old Government funded education places can receive additional funding to support the development, learning and care of eligible children. The early years pupil premium (EYPP) is additional funding for early years settings to improve the education they provide for disadvantaged 3 and 4-year-olds.

This could be used for a number of reasons, including the following:

• Speech and language development
• Prepare for starting school
• Support from better equipped staff who will be able to have extra training

To determine whether or not children are eligible for this funding we ask all families to provide information on registration forms when your child begins at Nursery which enables us to check eligibility. If you believe your child may be eligible for EYPP please contact the school office.

The premium came into force in April 2015. We are required to publish details of :

• Our pupil premium allocation for the current academic year.
• Details of how we intend to spend our allocation.
• Details of how we spent our previous academic year’s allocation (when applicable).
• The difference to the attainment of disadvantaged pupils the funding has made.
