Lunchtime Supervisory
Assistant

Our recently graded outstanding nursery (May 2023) currently has a vacancy for a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to provide support for children aged from 3 months to 5 years old. The ability to demonstrate initiative, to be flexible and to work as part of a team are all essential skills required for this role.

Speech and Language Therapist
Are you a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with post-qualification experience in supporting children and young people in educational settings?

We have an exciting opportunity at Haven Nursery School. We are seeking to recruit a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated and passionate team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in moving our vision forwards. You will be a highly skilled speech and language therapist who will support our children with SLCN and provide daily support and intervention in a communication rich environment. You will be a team player and have substantial experience of work with a broad range of children with additional needs and their families. Experience working with children with profound and complex needs and children with Autistic Spectrum Condition is essential. You will have a thorough knowledge of child development and SEND theory and practice. You will demonstrate excellent administrative skills and the ability to use initiative and work independently. You must be adaptable, able to work within a large nursery team and be dedicated in supporting young children to grow.

This is a permanent role, with flexibility for full - time or part time for the right candidate. Minimum of 27 hours per week to maximum of 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year with a salary range of £40,643 - £45,077 (HCC Grade F - FTE). The nursery school is open from 7.45am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday & hours of work will be on arrangement to cover these opening hours. Haven closes for the period between Christmas Day and New Year. Hampshire County Council Terms and Conditions apply, including the option to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Governors are strategic leaders within schools and have a vital role in making sure every child gets the best possible education.
Governing bodies have a strong focus on three core functions:
Our Governing Body currently meet once a month, except for April and December. As Governor you would attend these meetings, having read the information shared before and be ready to ask questions and find out more. Visits to the schools also form part of the monitoring role and some Governors have individual special responsibilities.
No one Governor is expected to know it all and we work together as a team to support one another, bringing our own strengths and areas of interest. Our shared skill is our commitment and interest in our children’s futures and achieving the best for all.
