Senior Nursery Manager
(Operations Lead)

Our continually graded outstanding nursery school, are seeking a confident, proactive Senior Nursery Manager to lead the operational delivery of our Local Authority–maintained nursery and day care provision. You’ll ensure exceptional childcare, strong safeguarding practice, and smooth day‑to‑day running of a busy, vibrant nursery.
You will lead daily operations to ensure high-quality childcare aligned with Ofsted and Local Authority requirements, as being able to manage, develop and support a large staff team through supervision, training, and performance reviews. Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professional and to ensure high standards in safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance.
Our belief is that children thrive when they are consistently happy and safe at nursery school. Whatever a child’s background or starting point, we believe that every child can achieve.

The nursery school is open from 7.45am – 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. Hours of work will be on a shift basis to cover these opening hours.
This post is 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year with a starting salary of £40,643 at a Hampshire County Council F grade.

Our OUTSTANDING nursery currently has a vacancy for a Co-opted Governor to join our enthusiastic and forward-thinking Governing Body.
Governors are strategic leaders within schools and have a vital role in making sure every child gets the best possible education.
Governing bodies have a strong focus on three core functions:
Our Governing Body currently meet once a month, except for April and December. As Governor you would attend these meetings, having read the information shared before and be ready to ask questions and find out more. Visits to the schools also form part of the monitoring role and some Governors have individual special responsibilities.
No one Governor is expected to know it all and we work together as a team to support one another, bringing our own strengths and areas of interest. Our shared skill is our commitment and interest in our children’s futures and achieving the best for all.
Being a school governor is a very rewarding volunteer role that affords you the knowledge that you are giving back something to the local community. It offers great opportunity for personal development and learning new transferrable skills.
